Welcome to Get Drenched! We are the New England Synod's Youth, Young Adult, and Family Ministry Team. We are a team of lay people and pastors striving to be a catalyst for faith development in young people; celebrate and support current ministries practices; equip leaders with new and exciting ministry tools. We want to "dive in" to your lives, as church leaders, to support and nurture you in this amazing ministry, as you "dive in" to the lives of the children, teens, young adults, and families in your congregations. We hope you find the information on our site useful. Your feedback is always welcome! You can contact us at team@getdrenched.org. —NEW BLOG!— We have a new Get Drenched Blog where we have listed additional information and where you have an opportunity to share. If you have not yet bookmarked the Get Drenched Blog, be sure to check out the many resources posted from ministries throughout the synod at http://getdrenched.wordpress.com. This week alone we have added a link to a new Hip-Hop resource (for fans of Agape from Hammo) and a cool new tech resource. Post your own resources, devotions that work, questions for help, and many other items. New to the blog: information for the 2009 Youth Gathering, updates for the 2008 Youthworker's Extravaganza, including new airline discounts, conversation about liturgical dance resources and a congregational book club, an informational resource for using the Drenched team's Labyrinth, and more. Share this link with your other leaders, and feel free to share other information here related to Youth Ministry, Children's Ministry, and important resources for training and improving your ministry. (You can leave comments on any blog post without having to "join" the Wordpress community!) |

"Someone is on the way who is so much more able than me. I'm not fit to untie his sandals. I've dipped you in the water, but he will drench you with God's Spirit." -from Good As New: A Radical Retelling of the Scriptures by John Henson |
